Time is the most precious thing we have.
From the moment you are born, an hourglass begins, sands slowly draining, counting out your days here on this earth. Money can be earned, possessions can be purchased… but time is the one thing that we have no control over, that we cannot create excess of.
Don’t feel obligated to give your attention and energy to people just because, or commit to endeavors you don’t really care about. Make an effort to spend more of your free time doing the things that you love, that you’re truly passionate about. When I think of the hours and days and weeks and months of my life that I have spent unhappy, allowing situations completely within my control to continuously consume my time… I cringe (and also promise myself to do better in the present and future).
It’s interesting asking generations before mine what they regret in their lives. The answers vary, but have a common undertone: people wishing they had done more, seen more, experienced more, spent more quality time with loved ones. Not often is it that someone expresses remorse for not making more money or owning a nicer car. Think about down the road, when you’re part of that older generation, if asked the same question… what would you want your answer to be?
Time. It’s finite, precious, and certainly not guaranteed. Spend it wisely my friends.

Does dancing around the sand dunes at sunset count as a wise use of time? I like to think so..
Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma – which is living with the results of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of others’ opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition.
